L.A. Rams Conduct Football Camp at SBCC's La Playa Stadium

Jan 20, 2024

More than 200 youth and high school football players participated in a non-contact football camp put on by the Los Angeles Rams at SBCC's La Playa Stadium on Saturday.

The Youth and High School Performance Football Camp was led by former NFL and All-American collegiate athletes. The camp's curriculum promoted character development by encouraging a competitive mindset while highlighting the transferable life skills gained through football and how those skills translate to great habits in the classroom.

The camp, which was sold out, featured an orientation for parents/guardians of the camp attendees in support of the NFL's Play Football "Get in the Game" initiative, which is a collaborative effort led by the league and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Eligibility Center. NCAA representatives led an orientation and a discussion about college entrance requirements for student-athletes.

L.A. Rams cheerleaders and team mascot, Rampage, attended the camp.
